Are you curious about chanting Kirtan?
Wondering what the tradition of Bhakti Yoga and call and response chanting is all about and how to begin?
Or maybe you have friends you'd like to share Kirtan with but haven't been able to make that happen.
Join me this coming Sunday for an Introductory workshop and Kirtan where we will address these questions and experience the feeling of singing together. Sanskrit chants and spirit songs will be shared and song sheets will be provided.
Bhakti Yoga or the Yoga of devotion is a practice where, through call and response or unison chanting of mantra, we calm the mind and the nervous system and allow an awareness of the energy of the heart to surface.
By focusing on the chant, the vibrations of the mantra and our voices become a vehicle to loosen held constrictions, stuck emotions and all other sorts of 'mind-stuff' allowing us to feel the love that we are.
Come as you are and experience Kirtan for yourself! This is a free workshop & event. ALL are welcome.

"The primordial seers recognized these emotions as a vital and sacred part of the human being - not an obstacle or an accident, rather a great, freeing energy to bring us to liberation. And they gave us Bhakti Yoga to channel that energy and use it as a bridge to carry us back to the Source." ~ Jai Uttal
